Vaanam - Sky is the limit

Multistarrers, despite being successful in the north, is relatively a new concept as far as Tamil cinema is concerned. Trying to break the barrier is ‘Vaanam’, a film which has a huge list of stars in its cast.

Silambarasan (STR), Bharath, Anushka, Prakash Raj, Sonia Agarwal, Vega, Santhanam and Saranya. And the list goes on. The man who has made a magic with all these actors is Krish, a popular Tollywood director.

In other words, Krish, who hogged the limelight in Telugu with ‘Vedam’, the original version of ‘Vaanam’, has wielded the megaphone for the Tamil remake too. “The script is universal and it can be made in any Indian language,” sources say.

The movie produced by Ganesh of VTV Productions and Magic Box Pictures has been bagged by Dayanidhi Alagiri and his Cloud Nine. Music is by Yuvan Shankar Raja and all the songs from ‘Vaanam’ are already hits.

”After the success of Thoonga Nagaram, Cloud Nine Movies would be distributing Vaanam. Top- class technicians like Yuvan, Nirav Shah (cinematography) and Antony (editing), are involved with film,” says a press release from the producers.

It adds: “The association has just taken the project to the next level with the caliber they have. It's been a great pleasure to work with the huge star- cast. The talkie portions of the film have been completed, after the massive hit of the single song that was launched before the audio release”.

Happy about ‘Vaanam’, Simbu says, “I was awestruck when I saw Vedam, which had Allu Arjun in lead role. Immediately I wanted to remake the film in Tamil and the end product is here.”

On his part, director Krish says it is a story that revolves around Pancha Bootham - five elements. “Simbu is the sky, Bharath air, Anushka water, Prakash Raj fire and Saranya the earth. Vaanam is all about how these five elements come together,” he says.

’Manmadhan’, ‘Vallavan’, ‘Silambattam’. It’s nothing short of a music festival whenever Yuvan Shankar Raja joins hands with his good friend STR. The duo has struck gold once again in ‘Vaanam’, with the film’s music album having the potential to become the hit of the year.

Produced by VTV Productions and Magic Box Pictures, ‘Vaanam’, a multistarrer that it is, has Bharath, Anushka, Prakash Raj, Sonia Agarwal, Santhanam and Vega among others in lead roles, besides Simbu.

Directed by Krish, who wielded the megaphone for the Telugu original titled ‘Vedam’, the audio album of ‘Vaanam’ strikes an instant appeal. While all the songs are beautiful in their own right, ‘Evandi Unna Pethan…’ and ‘No Money…’ are picks of the lot, as both come with that special touch.

Feelings of today’s youngsters can’t be described well than this, that too in their own words. This number is no doubt an anthem for those who love fast beats. The Tamil lyrics are penned by STR while English lyrics by Yuvan and both render the song in their own style. Needless to say, the song is sure to be a chartbuster of this year.

2. Vaanam

Singer: Yuvanshankar Raja

What’s life? This song perhaps tries to find an answer to this much asked question. An unusual philosophical number which is heart touching is ‘Vaanam…’ to you. The stunning vocalism by Yuvan shankar Raja and lyrical lines by Na Muthukumar make you think twice about life while listening to it.

3. Cable Raja

Singers: Abhishek, Lawrence

Apparently the introduction song of Silambarasan, who plays a cable TV operator in this movie, this one is a ‘sema kuthu’ number. Those who would like to know more about Simbu have one more reason to like the song. For, the lyrics are a ready reckoner of the titles of STR’s past and upcoming movies. Voices of Abhishek and Lawrence energise us.

4. Who Am I

Singer: Benny Dayal

Reminding one the title of a Jackie Chan film, this one looks like the introduction number of Bharath. The lyrics are by Muthukumar again and Benny Dayal’s voice adds more value to the lines as well as the tune. The song talks about a youngster who is in search of himself.

5. No Money… No Honey

Singers: Silambarasan, Andrea, Srikanth Deva

Money makes many things. So does this song. With all the qualities to occupy a top slot in the list of best 10 songs of the year, this one, a fast paced number, speaks about the importance of money, like ‘Chennai Pattinam….’ did in the past. Silambarasan, Andrea present a power-packed performance, with the surprise element being the voice of Srikanth Deva.

Sehwag dominates first session

New Zealand were given an early glimpse of the difficult task ahead of them on the Indian tour as the home batsmen sprinted to 127 for 1 by lunch on the first day. Virender Sehwag did the damage, briefly threatening to become only the fifth player to make a century in the first session of a Test, with an innings that had none of the violence normally associated with scoring at such a scorching pace.

India were clearly thrilled at winning the toss on a flat track: Dhoni had a huge grin as he said, "Well, of course we want to bat," while Harbhajan Singh, watching from the boundary, threw his hands up in jubilation on hearing the news. Sehwag made the most of easy conditions and the closest he came to being dismissed was when he attempted a quick single in the sixth over - a direct hit would have sent him back.

Otherwise, it was a Sehwag treat for the sprinkling of fans who had turned up at Motera. In the third over, he jokingly signaled for a free-hit after Chris Martin overstepped. There aren't any in Tests, but that didn't stop Sehwag from carving the next delivery through covers for four to get his first runs. Two more off-side boundaries rounded off the over, and there was no slowing Sehwag after that despite plenty of short deliveries to stop the drives.

All his runs came on the off-side until Jesse Ryder came on in the 11th over in a surprise move. A lofted on-drive dispatched his first ball for four, while the next was a more orthodox punch down the ground for another boundary. India were 58 for 0, the New Zealand attack was looking blunt, and Sehwag was enjoying himself, laughing after slipping while taking a single.

Ryder, though, got the final delivery of the over to move in a touch and had Gautam Gambhir inside-edging onto the stumps. It ended an innings where Gambhir struggled for fluency as he searched for his form of 2009. He fed on leg-side offerings from debutant Hamish Bennett, who bowled with plenty of pace but didn't trouble the batsmen too much.

Rahul Dravid played cautiously, while Sehwag kept the score ticking along at a good rate. He took two fours an over off offspinner Jeetan Patel three times, and with 15 minutes remaining to lunch he had galloped to 82. He didn't reach the three-figure by the break, but that was scant consolation for a New Zealand team that will be wondering where the breakthroughs will come from, after a session where their bowling barely threatened.

Google’s birthday with new doodle

The search engine giant, Google has been celebrating its 12th birthday on Monday.

On the 12th birthday, Google Doodle has been specially designed as a cake by Wayne Thiebaud. The cake was used with the permission of Visual Artists and Galleries Association (VAGA), New York.

The new Google Doodle has a candle which represents the letter 'L'.

On September 27, 1998, the Google was first incorporated as a private corporation in California.

Originally, the company was formed on September 4, 1998 but it observes birthday either on September 7 or September 27.

At present, the California-based company has millions servers across the globe.

Chennai Super Kings captain MS Dhoni was all praise for Subramaniam Badrinath for his superb unbeaten 52, which set up his side’s victory over Central Districts in the Champions League Twenty20 match.

“We lost early wickets and that put us under pressure. But Badrinath and Anirudha batted really well. These are the conditions where technique does matter. If those who have good technique perform up the order it is easier for those who have lesser technique to slog later,” Dhoni said.

“Badri has a good technique and so good to see him perform,” said Dhoni

Dhoni also have words of praise for the bowlers.

“All the bowlers bowled well. Balaji bowled well to pick up three wickets. The two spinners were superb as conditions here were not that well assisting them,” he said.

“Muttiah Muralitharan is a great bowler and it is great to have him in the team. He just varied his deliveries and the same was in case of R Ashwin also,” he added.

He said CSK will have to win two more matches out of remaining three to make sure they qualify for the semifinals.

“Well of course it is really good to start such a tournament with a big win. It is important to get momentum when you start off with a win. We want to win all the remaining three matches but at least we have to win two,” he added.

Central Districts captain Jamie How rued his side’s batting failure.

“To restrict Chennai to 150, I thought the boys bowled really well. The bowling and fielding were the positives, but we didn’t really turn up with the bat. We will be looking to bounce back against Victoria,” How said.

Man of the match Badrinath was happy that he could come out good in difficult condition.

“I am really happy with the innings. To be able to see the team through to the end. It wasn’t easy to start off with, but once I got in I made sure I made it count. Totally different conditions to what we get in India, so really happy that I could do well here.”

The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) successfully tested the propellant system of the body's soon-to-be launch mega vehicle, in the Tamil Nadu's Mahendragiri district on Thursday.

In a landmark experiment, a team of eminent scientists and experts from ISRO carried out the static testing of the liquid core stage of the Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle Mark III (GSLV-M III).

Lasting for 200 seconds, the test was deemed a 'success' by the ISRO chief K. Radhakrishnan.

Radhakrishnan said there was just one other test that was required to be undertaken before giving the green signal for the final launch of the satellite carrier into space.

"The GSLV-M III, has three propulsion elements that give power to the rocket. The first one is solid motor...solid means solid propellants used in the rocket motors. Two such rocket motors have been used. Then the second stage is the liquid stage that will be tested today, and the third stage is the cryogenic stage which we are developing," explained Radhakrishnan.

The ISRO is using indigenously developed Cryogenic Upper Stage (CUS) for the first time since the launch of the mega shuttle, GSLV-D3, in April this year.

"We are developing GSLV-M III vehicle to put heavier communications satellites, that is, satellites with mass of four tons into a geostationary transfer orbit," said Radhakrishnan.

The ISRO chief also informed that the indigenous complex cryogenic rocket technology was a remarkable scientific advancement and could revolutionize space vehicles in the future.

The GSLV-M III, which is currently under advanced stage of development, uses two solid strap-on boosters (S200), L110 liquid stage and a cryogenic upper stage C-25. (ANI)

China launches new SinoSat-6 communication satellite - Hindustan Times

China today successfully launched its "SinoSat-6" satellite for live radio and television broadcast from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center in southwest China's Sichuan Province. The satellite was carried on the Long March 3B rocket which took the SinoSat-6 into a geostationary transfer orbit 26 minutes after the launch.
In the following days, Xi'an Satellite Control Center and Yuanwang tracking ship will manipulate the satellite's position and transfer it to enter the geostationary orbit, official newsagency Xinhua reported.

SinoSat-6 has a designed lifespan of 15 years and will eventually work at longitude 126.4 degrees east about 35,700 kilometres above the equator, said the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASTC), the satellite's researcher and producer.

It will mainly serve for relaying TV and radio live broadcast signals and will greatly improve cultural life for people living in remote and mountainous regions, according to China Satellite Communications Corporation which will operate the satellite, the report said.

China has launched the first SinoSat series satellite, SinoSat-1, in 1998. The SinoSat-2 was launched in 2006 but malfunctioned for it failed to deploy its solar panels and communication antennae.

SinoSat-6 will serve as a substitute for SinoSat-3 which was launched on June 1, 2007, according to the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation.

In my opinion the best way to type accents on a PC is with the international keyboard, which requires a simple control panel configuration - there is no keyboard to purchase or software to download.

If you're really set against the international keyboard, you can type accented characters with ALT codes, which use the ALT key and a 3 or 4 digit code. However, ALT codes only work with the numeric keypad, NOT the row of numbers across the top of your keyboard. So they won't work on a laptop unless you hit number lock to activate the number pad "built into" the right-side of your keyboard, which is a big hassle because then the letters won't work. Bottom line, if you're on a laptop, choose a different keyboard rather than messing around with ALT codes.

To type accents with ALT codes, hold down the ALT key, then on the numeric keypad type the three or four digits listed here. When you release the ALT key, the character will appear.

Suriya launches Boss Engira Baskaran audio

The audio launch of the Arya and Nayanthara starrer Boss Engira Baskaran was a star studded high profile event at the Sathyam cinemas on Friday (August 27) evening.

As per the norms in these functions, the audio was launched by Suriya and received by Harris Jayaraj. The film is produced by KS Srinivasan’s Vasans Visual Ventures in association with Arya’s ‘The Show People’. Udayanidhi Stalin’s ‘Red Giant Movies’ is marketing it. This is the first production of Arya who also is the hero of the film.

Three songs and a trailer were shown, all filmed on the lead pair, with one being shot in the locales of Switzerland. The film stars Arya, Nayanthara, Santhanam, Rajendran, Lakashmi Ramakrishnan and Chitra Laxman amongst others. Yuvan Shankar Raja who has done the music was absent from the event due to ill health. Another notable absentee at the event was Nayanthara.

Speaking at the event, RB Chowdharay said: “This Boss shall pass!” Editor Mohan commented, “After the release, the title will change to Baskaran the Boss thanks to the success of the film!”

Vishnuvardhan added: “This film is a giant leap for Arya as he turns producer too.” Dharini was all praise for Arya saying that he was climbing up step by step in his career. Choreographer Dinesh Master added that there was a vast improvement in Arya as a dancer while cameraman Sakthi Saravanan added “Rajesh is not only a good comedy film director but also has a great action script up his sleeve.”

Suriya was all praise for the film saying, “ Nayanthara is looking beautiful in the songs. Yuvan has given great hits in Paiyaa and Naan Mahaan Alla and I am sure he will work the same magic here too. Santhanam is working with my brother in the next film and Karthi is all praise for his spontaneity and body language. This seems to be a good breezy entertainer and such movies are welcomed by audiences through the year.”

AR Murgadoss was all praise for Arya’s performance in Madrasapattinam and for Rajesh’s comic touch in Siva Manasula Sakthi. Harris Jayaraj too commented that he saw SMS on an international flight and really laughed through the film. ‘Such feel good films are rare in Tamil so I am sure this film too will be a success. I think Yuvan is an intelligent, sensible and smart music composer and this album will do well.”

The other dignitaries present included Udayanidhi Stalin, KS Srinivasan, Parthiban, G Dhananjayan, Ramanarayanan, Vijay, Ravi K Chandran, Amirtham, T Siva and Santhanam amongst others.

New Metro service rocks in Delhi

Sep 4: The new Metro rail, which has been inaugurated on Sep 3, left a huge response among the people of the capital as it got over 32,000 footfalls within a few hours of its opening.

About 32,000 people used the metro services till 8 pm on Sep 3, informed a Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) spokesperson.

AIIMS station saw 2,200 footfalls, while Green Park Metro station has witnessed the presence of 2,700 passengers.

The latest line completes the stretch from Jahangirpuri in the north to Gurgaon, a distance of 45 km.

The new Metro line is connecting the city's north with its satellite town of Gurgaon in Haryana.

Gearing up for E- Needs: Internet Protocol Version Change

After the telecom revolution it is now the turn of e-initiatives to change the life of common Indian. The day is not far when the common man will be able to access and process all his needs and deeds from his desktop, laptop or palmtop.

The Government is making all efforts to translate the dream of paperless governance into a reality. Over 671 million telephone subscribers, 20 million Broadband connections and 3G services are expected to be rolled out by the end of 2010, targeting 40% rural teledensity and Broadband connectivity to all Gram Panchayats by 2012. Plans are also afoot for delivering financial services using mobile technology. These factors clubbed with e-governance initiatives i.e. mandatory e-delivery of identified services are going to further enhance the magnitude of e-demands.

Of 1100 citizen and business centric services targeted for delivery, over 600 services of various Departments of Central and State Governments are now available online-any time, anywhere. With the number of mobile subscribers likely to exceed one billion by 2014, the system has to gear up for the situation.

Keeping this in view, the Government decided to facilitate the use of Internet Protocol Version 6 (IPv6), the Internet technology take Internet to 1.1 billion people, in the country in June 2009. After a year in July 2010, the Government has released the roadmap for Internet Protocol Version 6 (IPv6) deployment in the country in a time bound manner. It has also decided to form an IPv6 Task Force in Public Private Partnership (PPP) mode for timely implementation of IPv6 in the country. This roadmap and the formation of the IPv6 Task Force together would enable Indians citizens to start using IPv6 services by March 2012. For this all Telecom and Internet Service providers are required to become IPv6 compliant by December-2011. For smooth and timely transition from Internet Protocol Version 4 (IPv4) to IPv6 by stakeholders, procurement of IPv6 complaint equipments is being ensured , awareness being created and methodology being worked out for transition from (IPv4) to IPv6.

Need for Change

Growing demand for new addresses globally and expanding communication networks have necessitated timely action and implementation of new strategies to handle ever increasing e- traffic. Other countries including USA, EU, Japan are deploying IPv6 today.

Like a telephone has to have a number for getting connected, a computer has to have an IP address to participate in a Information Communication Technology ICT) network. Traditional communication networks are undergoing a big change and moving into the era of Internet protocol (IP). Nowadays, technology is changing rapidly and the Internet protocol is slowly evolving as the global standard for communication. In future all networks and services will converge to packet based networks running the Internet Protocol. This is very much evident in the deployment of Next generation Networks (NGN) by our service providers, which is the future of telecommunications. The transition to IPv6 is required because in the near future IPv4 addresses will not be available for penetration of broadband and other IP based services. Therefore, IPv6 addresses will be the only choice left.

Various Greenfield applications especially in areas like electricity generation and distribution, telemedicine, healthcare, tele-education would accelerate their penetration through the deployment of IPv6.

Internet Protocol is a connection-less protocol, in contrast to so-called connection-oriented modes of transmission. Because of this faults like data corruption, lost data packets, duplicate arrival and out-of-order packet delivery; meaning, if packet ‘A’ is sent before packet ‘B’, packet ‘B’ may arrive before packet ‘A’ may occur. To streamline these reliability issues the successor Internet Protocol Version 6 (IPv6) is being deployed actively worldwide.

What is Internet Protocol?

The Internet Protocol (IP) is one of the determining elements that define the Internet. The Internet Protocol is a protocol used for communicating data across a packet-switched internetwork using the Internet Protocol Suite. IP is the primary protocol in the Internet Layer of the Internet Protocol Suite and has the task of delivering distinguished protocol datagrams (packets) from the source host to the destination host solely based on their addresses. For this purpose the Internet Protocol defines addressing methods and structures for datagram encapsulation. The Internet Protocol specifies that each communication device on a network should have a unique address to communicate globally with other devices on the Network. This unique address is known as IP address.

IP Address

An Internet Protocol (IP) address is a numerical label that is assigned to devices participating in an ICT network that uses the Internet Protocol for communication between its nodes. The IP address performs 3 main functions of communicating, “Who”, “Where” and “How” on the packet network.

Allotment of IP Addresses

Various organizations control the allocation of these IP addresses. The apex body in the world for Internet Standards is Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF). It allocated these IP addresses to Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA). IANA is the entity that oversees global IP address allocation and further allocates these addresses to the Regional Internet Registries (RIR), which further allocates them to Internet service providers (ISPs), also sometimes referred to as an Internet access provider (IAP), and other organizations. In case of India, the addresses are allocated by APNIC, the RIR that allocates IP and AS numbers in the Asia Pacific region

History of IP versions

In May 1974, the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) published a paper authored by Vint Cerf and Bob Kahn. The paper entitled “A Protocol for Packet Network Interconnection” described an internetworking protocol for sharing resources using packet-switching among the nodes. A central control component of this model was the “Transmission Control Program” (TCP) that incorporated both connection-oriented links and datagram services between hosts.

This Program later evolved into Transmission Control Protocol at the connection-oriented layer and the Internet Protocol at the internetworking (datagram) layer. The model became known informally as TCP/IP and formally as the Internet Protocol Suite.

IPv4

The first major version of addressing structure, now referred to as Internet Protocol Version 4 (IPv4) is still the dominant protocol of the Internet. It is perceived that IPv4 is very robust and has been around for quite sometime, maybe around 25 years now but it has many limitations too. It has a limited addressing space of only 32 bits and the free pool of IPv4 addresses will be exhausted very soon. The IANA pool is likely to exhaust by October-2011. As far as India is concerned, the addresses are allocated by APNIC and currently we have approximately 18.5 million unique IPv4 addresses. It is estimated that within a year’s time about 60 million new addresses will be needed for various broadband and e-governance initiatives.

IPv6

IPv6 is the next generation Internet Protocol with improvement over the initial version of IPv4. It is a scalable Internet technology with a potential to help the Internet reach 1.1 billion people of India. The role of IPv6 is not limited to Internet access alone but it is important in Defence, e-Governance and other crucial government projects. IP security in IPv6 provides end-to-end security implying that data is secured from the originating workstation through various routers of the Internet to the destined workstation. IPv6 has 128 bits as compared to the limited addressing space of only 32 bits in IPv4. The new Internet protocol will give practically unlimited addresses besides a host of new and advanced features for running the future communication networks.

The transition from IPv4 to IPv6 in the country is of critical concern in view of the changing ICT scenario in the country. The transition from IPv4 to IPv6 is not simply a protocol upgrade. It involves hardware changes also in addition to software. Moreover, it cannot be done overnight. It needs time; therefore both IPv4 and IPv6 will co-exist for many more years to come.

At a time when a lot of buzzes are doing rounds about the Tamil remake of ‘3 Idiots’, director of the Bollywood blockbuster Raju Hirani has confirmed that the film is being remade in south Indian languages

Speaking at the DVD launch of the Aamir Khan starrer in Mumbai, the filmmaker said, “The movie will be soon made in Tamil and Telugu. But I don’t know who will play the lead there.”

“I think they (producers and director of the Tamil version) are currently in the process of casting,” Hirani said and added that he has no plans to make a sequel to ‘3 Idiots’. “I am not with that idea,” he said.

There were reports that a popular production house has acquired the remake rights of ‘3 Idiots’ and Shankar will direct both the Tamil and Telugu versions. “While Vijay will replace Aamir Khan in Tamil, Mahesh Babu will play the role in Telugu,” reports said.

Nokia prepares to launch its entry-level dual SIM phones in India

Everyone - or at the very least, those who use dual SIM phones - is excited about Nokia’s upcoming entry-level dual SIM phones, and now the Finnish giant has announced they’re in the final pre-release stages, and will be launching the Nokia C1-00, and Nokia C2-100 simultaneously in the next couple of months, following its global launch. The reason for the excitement plain - apart from Samsung, no other major international mobile manufacturer currently offers dual SIM mobile phones in India.
Though the official prices are not yet known, previous estimates released in euros on Nokia’s site peg them to be at around Rs. 1,700 for the C1-00 and Rs. 2,500 for the C2-100. According to a spokesperson from Nokia India, the company is undecided whether to produce the phones in India’s Chennai facility, or elsewhere.
Also targeting the rural sector, the phones will also come with Nokia Ovi Life Tools installed. So, for now we can expect a launch either on Tata DoCoMo or Reliance Mobile, the respective GSM services of the telecommunication giants, as they’re the only ones who presently offer the service.

ISRO planning to send astronauts to space before 2015-16

CHANDIGARH: The Indian Space Research Organization is planning to send astronauts to space before the year 2015-16, deputy project director of ISRO's Chandrayaan Mission Jaswinder Singh Khoral said in Chandigarh on Thursday.

Khoral was addressing the students at the Haryana Space Science Congress Programme at Faridabad today which was organized by Space Applications Centre, Hisar on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Dr Vikaram Sarabhai, the father of Indian Space Programme.

About 800 students from 40 schools participated in the day-long programme aimed at sensitizing the students about developing a career in the field of science.

Khoral said ISRO was also working to send an unmanned lunar mission Chandrayaan-II in 2012-13, an official release quoting him said.

He said that India is in the select league of six nations which have sent their satellites to the moon.

He also informed the students about different details regarding the successful launch of Chandrayaan-I by ISRO.

Director, Haryana Science and Technology Department Sandeep Garg said the State Government has launched the Haryana Science Talent Hunt Scheme for students of class 9th to 12th to promote science among the students.

ISRO's senior scientist Dr P K Champati Ray said that India is one of the leading countries in space technology in the world, having the capability of fabricating and launching its own satellites with indigenous launching vehicles.

He said India had successfully launched 17 remote sensing satellites and 24 geostationary satellites since 1975.

Elaborating on the strength of Indian Space Programme, he said the recently launched Cartosat-2b Remote Sensing Satellite has less than one metre resolution, which is capable of identifying the objects smaller than one metre and would be highly useful for urban and infrastructure planning.

Best Buy will carry the iPhone 4 starting June 24, the first day of the gadget's availability anywhere, the retailer confirmed Monday.

That means Best Buy joins Apple Stores, AT&T, Radio Shack, and Wal-Mart in being the first to sell the latest iPhone.

Best Buy says it will be offering the same option to preorder the phone as Apple and AT&T. Orders can be placed starting Tuesday, June 15, at any Best Buy Mobile or Best Buy store.

Apple doesn't usually give other retailers first crack at its most highly anticipated products, but this year is proving to be different. The iPad was also on sale at Best Buy the same day as it arrived in Apple Stores earlier this year.

Free access to Encyclopedia Britannica for Airtel users

New Delhi: Airtel Broadband subscribers now have access to more knowledge at the click of a mouse.

Bharti Airtel has announced a partnership with Encyclopedia Britannica to give free access to its users to the encyclopedia's website. The two-year subscription is worth Rs 6575.

Airtel Broadband users can visit the Encyclopedia Britannica website (www.eb.com) and can access premium content without the need for a username and password.

Encyclopedia Britannica, headquartered in Chicago, is the oldest English-language encyclopedia still in print. The encyclopedia went online in 1994 with Britannica Online.

Bharti Airtel is India's largest telecom company with about 141 million customers across its operations.

Earlier, during the Indian Premier League (IPL), Airtel had given its users an automatic upgrade to 2 Mbps to watch IPL videos on the official IPL YouTube channel.

NIT Nagpur which has organized the All India Engineering ENtrance Examination in which more than 11 lakh students appeared on 25th May. Results was declared in the official website of CBSEresults.nic.in. CCB / Central Counselling Board which has board consisted of the members from the central government, organizing institutes and NIT decided about the dates for results, exam conducting, counselling and allotment of colleges.

AIEEE result2010 announced in the morning at 11:00 AM of the 30th of May 2010 which was announced even last year i.e. 2009 on 30th May.

AIEEE website is aieee.nic.in where you can get the AIEEE2010 result. Students who qualified in the AIEEE will also get admission into undergraduate courses in Arhticture in various architecture colleges in India.

For previous years aieee colleges cut off one can visit the aieee.nic.in and go for the analysis and allotment of seats in various engineering colleges in affiliated colleges. The cut off of the various colleges for the admission and ranks details in each and every branch of affiliated colleges are given.
